Hi, as you might not know I am looking to start a career change into becoming an electrician.
I phoned a local college who said
Level 2 part time 36-40 weeks 2x 3 hour classes at £1900 + vat
I have also contacted a training place.
36 week 2 weekends on 2 off for £2995 all inc. they are registered by niceic and c&g
What course would you pick

Local college mate.

Generally the two seem fairly similar though one is £700 cheaper than the other.
Often the local colleges have the best chance of providing the best training, but they can occasionally be a little unconnected with reality, whereas training course providers tend to operate on a more get them through the course so we get paid approach.
However this is a vast generalisation.
I would select the one that is most convenient to you in terms of time and cost.
Do look up a few reviews of the places to see if you can get any idea of potential worries.
Perhaps searching for the business names on this forum may give you some results (though watch the dates)
