I'm nearing the end of the 2nd year of my degree and now have a choice on which modules I would like to do for next year.

I'm based in the North of England and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions (and reasonings) as to which ones would be the most beneficial for me to take due to my location?

At the time of making this post, the choices I had in mind were:

  • Power Systems
  • Instrumentation and Control of Dynamical Systems
If needed, I can explain more about what I would be doing on each of these modules.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR
Which of these modules should I do living in North England? pick one from each group.

Depends entirely on what you are interested in and what kind of career you want. Design work or work in the field? If you have to stay up north wherever you are now, you will likely be limiting your opportunities, but in any case, I suggest that you study the subjects that really interest you and not what others think you should, or you may find years down the line that you regret it.

It may also help you to research the local/regional job market a bit before you make a choice but , Instrumentation and Control would open up many more career opportunities in diverse areas of engineering.

Good Morning,
As far as I´m concerned, with Power Systems you will have a better chance of taking a job abroad.
And for Instrumentation and Control of Dynamical Systems you can have a chance of getting a good job at many UK industrial areas.
I am taking next year a Power Systems Master´s degree , there is a big market in South America and Africa as I have been told.
