The relay just clicks on and off. I've attached a few photos of the internals of the unit. It's quite old, but was working a while ago, so perhaps a replacement might sort the problem, what do we reckon?

I guess it just uses an ambient thermistor, rather than a sensor in the floor, but not certain to be honest as it's all under kitchen tiles and previous owners didn't leave any information whatsoever.

TL;DR
Thermostat relay is clicking on and off

The flashing red light means the power base PB130-230 has failed. The front TSAT AUB TH131 may well still be ok but you may decide to change both items - I would and indeed from my searches think one can only buy both together.

https://ensupport.getconnected.hone...-my-Aube-TH131-thermostat-mean?language=en_US

You could buy a like-for-like replacement of both items (check with seller first) from:

Aube TH131 Floor Sensing Manual Thermostat - Element Shop - https://www.elementshop.co.uk/aube-manual-non-programmable-thermostat-floor-sensing-only?gclid=CjwKCAiAp5nyBRABEiwApTwjXuKSkw4MRGjVPfXReeMubDo3fqUaQ1_-rWTI4WFvQHhOlN7L_yc9ExoCvDQQAvD_BwE

or swap for a digital one:

Aube TH232 7 Day Programmable Thermostat - Element Shop - https://www.elementshop.co.uk/aube-7-day-programmable-thermostat-switchable-sensing?gclid=CjwKCAiAp5nyBRABEiwApTwjXg9RCofMO0URAhy15QGZWno6DkAnmmzHRVLNd7gbYy_ZqnF7R_zmCxoCxysQAvD_BwE

Please employ an electrician although you could purchase the item for him/her to fit. An EF member would probably charge a fair price for this quick job.

Sweet, I fixed it. Replacing the power base was necessary - I guess the relay inside it had died or whatever.
I swapped it out with an AUBE TH232 which was similar enough to work.
There was no need for an electrician in this case, being handy and safety-conscious as I am. 5 minute job
