Evening all,
Installed many extractors, but this is a first for me.
Customer wants the fan vented out through the soffit, with an inline extractor installed.

Simple enough, until I looked at the gap going into the soffit.

It’s too small to fit a standard 100mm flexi pipe through, and I’ve seen converters that go from 100mm round to various size oblongs, which would work I think, but then I’d need an oblong vent cover for the soffit, which I can’t find anywhere.

Would also need one which is diagonally slotted, so that it directs the air away from the soffit and roof.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Not widely stocked, but a 110mm x 54mm vent would be your best option, rectangular ducting upwards, then 110mm x 54mm to 102mm round adaptor.

Ducting and adaptor should be easy enough to source, but the vent might take some searching.

These guys have 220mm x 90mm vents, but that might require a couple of adaptors down to 100mm round (if there is even room for it). Also not cheap.

Think I might be inclined to bounce this back at the customer by giving them alternative options and asking them to source parts if they insist on a soffit vent.
