Had to go to a job the other day, Tails to the main consumer unit run external lashed across the side of the building.

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were as this is obviously not correct.
 
Very common in older places in Spain, where a huge bundle of supply cables run along the length of several house, the bundle diminishing as one cable after another disappears into a house. Clipping is crude but strong
and cable ties are norm between clips. Of course, these systems are in older towns. Seems to have worked ok for decades, with the advantage that the cables are easily accessible for maintenance. Wouldn't recommend it in UK...
