I was just googling for skeleton boards after reading the last thread and various pictures of consumer units popped up, some wired terribly and others that look like a work of art. But for me to get it looking even half neat I have to strip everything out of it so its just an empty box, strip everything back and mark the cables with a sharpie, 1 dash, 2 dashes etc, make off all the neutrals and earths and then put the din rail back in and start connecting the browns up.

This random photo seems to suggest he is stripping one cable back at a time and wiring each MCB up as it comes.

How on earth does he end up with a board so neat after doing it that way, if I did it that way it would look like a spiders web inside.

Looks like the electrician (either Male, Female or Gender neutral :-) ) is working right to left so nothing will be in the way each time a circuit is added

Agreed definitely not left to right😁

There looks to be two modular blanks to the left of the bottom rail with conductors feeding them or can someone shed a light on that?

Stripped and ready but probably didn’t have all the breakers on site to finish

No bus bar fitted yet either :-)

Seems like he's using the best method for that particular board
