hi im unsure of what to do next as far as experience/training
i have completed level 2+3 electrical installations diplomas at college i finished in june
i was helping out a sparky the odd day here and there but he relocated
im going to apply for the electrial labourers card from ECS to try and get a job as a mate
but have not seen much work advertised anywhere

im 35 too old to get an apprenticeship so i think mate is my best or only option?

is there any other course worth doing at this point or should i just wait to try and get some more site experience?

It's over a year since you posted, how are you getting on?

I finished my level 3 diploma last year and have just started the NVQ level 3. I work full time at a university in AV but figured I'd find enough odd jobs to get me though the portfolio. Whether that's accurate or a shot in the foot I'll find out..

Same as you, an apprenticeship is way out. My son is a year old and nursery fees are insane..

What did you end up doing?
