Discuss When does labelling have priority over colour coding?? in the Commercial Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

You do wonder if there is a reason, like a monumental c**k-up with some manufacturing and someone worked out it was cheaper to put on labels and re-print the manual?

Or maybe he who labelled just dropped one. Checks and tests?.....well it works OK!
Visual was a presumption.

The plot thickens.... having just come to actually wire it, the flex is just there as a courtesy, I have to terminate it internally as well. So..... do I correct it to U.K. convention and avoid a heap of labelling and possible confusion in the future or leave it Belgium??!

Sealing the deal..... the other two units don’t even have the internal flex installed! ?

To my mind, if they are not even going to connect the flex up then they should supply the units without it. Then the installer can decide what is suitable for the particular install.

It actually gets worse.....

Now the manual:

Sod this on a Friday, I’m off for a cold one!!

(NB... this will all get done to U.K. standards on Monday).
