So I want to arrange for a 120v a/c plug to be firmly affixed to the wall, such that it won't slip out of the outlet. Cheater plugs have these metal tabs that you can screw into the outlet, but I don't want a cheater! I want a 3-prong grounded plug with such a metal tab that I can firmly affix to the outlet. Where can I get one? I can't find any. What exactly are they called?

I'm not seeing any either. This might be why twist-locks were invented. Could they be a solution? Seems you can get L5-15 receptacles that will fit in place of a regular duplex straight-blade 5-15 or 5-20, but not a similar L5-20 if you need 20A.
I'm concerned though by your use of the word 'slip.' Does this mean that the root cause here is weak contacts in the receptacle, and replacing it with a good new one will actually hold the plug securely?

Well, it's pretty secure, but the issue is that my cats traipse around back there, and when they step on the cord, the plug is dislodged. Yes, a new socket might hold better. I did find this, which is sort of hack-a-doodle solution.
I guess the terminology is "cord-keeper".

You need to go to your electrical parts store. CES has probably has a store close to your vicinity. That stands for City Electric supply.

Well, OK , that was pretty easy. I just put a longer screw into the cover plate holder, and screwed a tab onto that. Then I just zip-tied the cord to that tab. The cord will never come out by itself.
