Hi all
I have a 2017 Isuzu Dmax. Smart alternator. 6 B&S twin cable from the start battery runs to a Projector 40A DC/DC charger which charges the 100Ah Auxiliary battery located in the canopy which in turn runs a Waeco Fridge/freezer.
The 50A Anderson plug is connected to the auxiliary battery. I use the Anderson plug to connect to my caravan and it powers the 3 way fridge which can draw 20Amps.
I am changing the fridge to a 12v fridge which will run from the 2 new Lithium batteries and charged via a 40A Lithium DC/DC charger from Anderson plug.
My question; Should I leave the Anderson plug connected to the auxiliary battery. I this case, would the Lithium DC/DC drain the Aux battery in the ute or should I connect the Anderson plug to the utes start battery, leaving more power for the Waeco fridge?
Regards
Vince
