It’s fine where it is. The teeth work both ways.
Simply put, as you tighten the nut on, the teeth dig into both surfaces and stop it from coming loose easily.
Just needs to be finger tight. No need for a spanner or anything.
Ditto, finger tight then a turn or two, its an anti vibration washer.Needs to be more than just finger tight, crikey.
Never meant " go mad with a spanner " DD you must know what I meant, if ot then you aint the DD I'm used to dealing with.Rare to see a washer on those type of lights , its just usually a dome cap nut thingy which i just put on finger tight then pinch it up with a small spanner maybe 1/2 a turn. They are literally just to hold the lid in place. As above if you go mad with a spanner you will bust the lid
