Evening guys .
Just wondering i have to install a fan in a bathroom there has already been a hole cored out for a 4 inch fan.
This is 2.70m from the plug hole to the bottom of the cored hole but they are installing a shower which the shower head will be closer to the fan not sure on dimensions.

So will this be acceptable to put fan in?
Or is it a case of Moving the hole?

Looking at page 169 of the BRB, it seems the fan will be outside zones.

However, i wouldnt feel comfortable installing a 230V fan directly above a bath.

Is there any way you could install an inline or LV fan if there is access above?

i cant get an inline fan in, but i will look into LV fan.

What is a good LV fan that you use jason.

Any of the LV's available from the wholesalers.

Problem is, the transformer is remote so that will need to be mounted somewhere accessible.

I am sure, however, that there are 230V splash proof ones that might do the job.

Trouble is, i cant remember where i have seen them.

Yeah i have done found a few good ones. But might look at a 230v one and get a really good ip rating on it.

Just found it.

Xpelair 230V DX100.

IPX5 and good for zones 1 or 2.

Theres an IPX5 rated fan in screwfix,
Xpelair kit pg 311, fitted 2 now, run lovely and quite, and seem to be fine so far
