Hi chaps
Customer has asked me about installing a mains supply to a 16amp UPS on their server.
The UPS hasn’t come with a power cord, the customer has searched Amazon for a 16Amp IEC C19 lead which comes with a 13Amp plug top, should it be supplied directly to the CU on a 16amp RCBO on a...
Hi there
My old oven broke just in time for xmas😭😭😭 (murphys law)
Ive picked up a new one which is rated at 16amp.
The old oven came off an independent circuit. 20amp breaker with 6mm from board to isolator and 6mm to rear of oven.
Is this just a case of just hardwiring it in or is it a bigger...
Could you tell me please if I am allowed in England to replace by myself the 2.5mm cable from a radial circuit to 4mm and the 16Amp MCB it has now for a 32Amp?
Hi,
I've searched these forums and have found quite a bit of good information, but not specifically to my query.
My house is about 9 years old. The kitchen has a dedicated cooker circuit, which has a 32 amp MCB.
The cooker circuit only has two single 13 amp sockets on it, and each of these...

Hi,
May be an odd one but…
I’m fitting out a boat, the marina supplies 16amps shore power and they insist on gas cookers so as not to overload their supply.
I’ve just seen you can buy 13amp cookers, would I be right to assume that a 13amp cooker would only ever draw 13amps and thus, would...

Hi all this is my first post. I am renewing my kitchen and at the moment I have a large cooker I'm changing it to a single oven. At the moment the cooker is on its own dedicated circuit with a 32mcb and 6mm cable going to a 45a cooker switch then going to a 45a cooker outlet plate which the...
I am looking to buy a generator for my mobile catering unit. Most I can find in my price range have a 32amp 240v single phase socket. My unit is setup to connect to a 16amp plug into the consumer unit with an RCD. My question is can I use a 32amp to 16amp conversion lead rather than having...
Hi forum, has anybody on here had an issue with the rolec 1 way 16amp touring outlet isolator?
The isolator does not operate when the 16amp plug is inserted as the plug does not appear to push the interlock far enough back to release the isolator.
Out of six units 3 do not work.
Any feed back...
Hi all
I am looking to add 2 additional 2G sockets to an existing 16amp radial circuit that has 2 1G sockets on it.
It’s a 3 story house and the consumer unit is in the Cellar. There are two rooms on the top floor and two radial circuits are feed from the one 16amp MCB with no RCB fitted.

Just want other people's opinions on this
In a warehouse were 16amp sockets are used for conveyors only would these need to be installed with rcbo's or just an mcb?
I had someone around yesterday to discuss installing a PV system for me, the discussion was mostly just an overview of technologies and different pricing such as loaning the roof and paying nothing, paying outright or paying with 5 years 0% finance.
I've done a bit of reading and know a bit...
