    Being lazy - Square D

    Been to look at a job today and may need some RCBO's - my policy is always to fit the same as the CU where ever possible: Who sells this stuff? NB: I'm guessing that the FCU below the board was done to avoid having to fit a RCBO for those lights and probably comes off a socket circuit!

    Fault finding. Mind boggling

    I'm stumped on this one. My mate has a two way garage board in his garage. Circuit 1 is lighting, circuit 2 is 3 sockets on a radial. Lighting works fine. Sockets trip main RCD in DB when switched on. 3 sockets are now disconnected. Tried to reset 16A MCB (for radial circuit) and still trips...

    Am I being pedantic?

    Did an EICR today and found that 2 weeks ago a fairly well know heater company removed a number of storage heaters and then replaced some of the DP switches with 13A sockets to plug their heaters into, plus a couple for general use! Not a RCD in the house - all circuits on re-wireable fuses...
