    TN-S and RCD's

Just done a load of inspections on a caravan park where the entire distribution system is TN-S. Problem is that quite a few of the Ze's are above 0.8 ohms stipulated as maximum. The question is, does the use of RCD's mitigate the above parameter readings? or will they have to get the Ze's...

    Re wireable fuses and rcd's.

Hello all. I'm qualified but not competent. Lacking in experience, a catch 22 as I keep being told by prospective employers over and over again. I need to rewire my kitchen before a new one is fitted and it will be good practice. The wiring is currently a mess. Lights and sockets on the same...

    RCD's In TT Systems

I am quoteing to change an old consumer unit to 17th edition on a TT installation. I have checked the regs and it looks like the preffered option is to give added protection by changing the 100A main switch to a 100A 100mA RCD together with the 30mA RCD protection already in the board. Firstly...

    RCD's (needed or not)

Hi, Just changed a mains board in a factory (3ph, 36 way) Put the power circuits on RCB'Os and the lighting circuits on MCB's. The wiring is either singles in a 3x2" trunking or using SWA tied onto tray. Am i correct in thinking that the lighting circuits do not have to be on RCD's??

    WYLEX 100mA 80A RCD

Hi all, Does any one know if a WYLEX 100mA 80A RCD WEM 80/2 is time delayed. It currenty protects a TT system and I will be upgrading the consumer unit to an 17th edition unit with 2X30mA RCD's. I worried about discrimination, and dont want it tripping before the 30mA RCDS's I know removing it...
