Hi,
I've read on all post that a 10mm cable is ok for a 10.8kW shower but I can't see how.
10800/230 = 47A
so the MCB has to be 50A
Table 4D5 shows that only is it is clipped direct with no insulation at all this is OK as the rating is 64A. However if there is any insulation then it the rating is below 50A so it would have to be a 10mm.
Where am I going wrong because I even rang the NICEIC and they said yeah 10mm is OK.
:s being straight from college might not be helping me maybe.lol
