Chaps

I have just installed a 10 kva 110v site transformer on a job and put 3 double sockets in the garage for battery chargers etc

I have had a request from the builder and the client to put temporary 230v standard 13 amp double sockets on each floor (i assume the builder dont have any 110v tools)

Im not happy doing this but i am getting a bit of grief from the builder

I am trying to find out looking through the HSE website if this legal

can anyone help with the regs

thanks

Prob find its more likely from charging tools rather than using. There is nothing wrong in installing as long as its correct for enviroment. Problems with HSE is in its use which is not your problem as your not in charge.

Just whack an RCD on it and it'll be fine.

I'm sure I heard somewhere it needed to disconnect within 0.2s as well, but can't find it in the regs.
