Hi all, just wanted to know your views on the new borads. I am taking my 2330 and am working along side local sparks. They seem to like putting in the older stlye, split load boards with the ring mains on, the RCD side and everything else on RCBOs. Why wouldn't they just use the new boards. Surely it works out more expensive with all the RCBOs this way??? Thanks.

probably like me mate and got a load of single split RCD boards from 16th ed regs in stock and using them up. Anyhow RCBO's don't come free to the customer

you can use a 16th board and wire it accordingly as long as you designed/planned/quoted the job prior to 17th coming into force.
