Kev, there has been quite few posts on the 2392 especially, if you want to do a search

2382 is the 17th edition regs exam, and replaced the old 2381 16th edition.

2392 is the Fundamental Certificate in Inpection & Testing. It is Level 2, focuses on Initial Verification only, and is meant as a 'stepping stone' to Level 3 2391.:)

ive always thought of the regs as BS7671,
i didnt realise we were talking about the exam number.

i thought that the 2392 was a kinda stepping stone to the 2391 too, i heard yesterday it was so you can certify strictly your own work, apparently it was brought out because 80% of the people who sat the 2391 exam failed, i was one of the 80%.
but saying that i work for a well respected electrician and he hasnt done the testing and inspecting, he's been nic regestered for 20 odd years now and we do testing all the time.....
really difficult with it being a closed book and if you dont know the guidence note 3 like the back of your hand then theres no point in doing it, not recomended fot thoes of us who dont like revising!

cheers!

Dose anybody have the 'correct' answers for the above 2382-20 sample exam.
I am also looking for more Q&A sample papers on 2382-20. I am doing the update course in a couple of weeks, so am trying to work my way through as many Q's ad possible.

Thanks

Managed to find time after all.

I have a couple of differences,
26- 705.422.7
27- 701.512.3

I got one defiantly wrong but more a case of not reading things properly.

Not sure about No 21. I've put 'D' but even looking at 421.5 still not sure.

Thanks for the input.

Hi Gryphon

I definitely fluffed up Q26 & Q27! Copied my notes down incorrectly. As for Q21, I got my answer from Note 2 of 421.4. I've taken it as: accepted lower limit for a significant quantity is 25L = is less than 25L. A tricky one!

Have you taken your exam yet, if so how did it go?

Sitting it on Thursday

Gentlemen

I have sat the 17th edition and one of the best pieces of advice i can give you all is to write the section appendices and other important pages into the note section of your regs book

this saves upteen time looking up and using the index .
