Hello
Apologies if this is placed in wrong thread, but I cannot see where else to ask this?

I currently have 2 x Chrome 2 gang light switches in my kitchen to work 4 sets of lights... and one gang of these ( The main light) is also two way connected to a single switch at back door.

Each of the 2 gang switches has a jumper, and the other 2 gang, which works the main light, has obviously more cables to work the two way to the single switch at back door...

The Neutral cables are all placed together within the back box, - All wiring was done by a qualified electrician when the extension was built 8 years ago.

I now want to swap these out for

To control the lights via Amazon Dot/Alexa

But Im unsure how this will work... because of the jumper!... and also the two way set-up with one of the gangs for the main light that has a lot of cables.

My only other option, which is no where close to being as nice as the actual switches, are these Sonoff smart switches....

Second option is obviously the easiest, and cheapest, straight forward way... Because I have LED spot lights that I can remove to place the relays in the ceiling, and also under the wall units for the lighting under there.. but I want (if possible) to just get the switches.

Can any of you guys advise on how I go about this with wiring back up to the new switches? Especially the jumper/fly lead and how this would work with the new switch, and where to join them to/from.

btw.. Im a carpenter/joiner and am constantly involved in adding/removing/changing sockets/light fittings around for customers to fit around the project I'm doing for them ... but this is first time with these smart switches, and different ways of how they get wired up.. as opposed to a simple straight swap over.

I know these need the Neutral to work, and assume that I should leave all neutrals bunched together and just use a N jumper/fly lead to the new switch N?

Thanks in advance

Personally I'd leave the switches as they are an invest in Hue lights and a hub...much easier and works a treat with Alexa.

Thanks for reply... but with 11 x outer White GU10 LED's and 4 x inner Coloured GU10 LED's and an 8 bulb central chandelier and 5 x T10 under wall unit strip lights, Im sure you can appreciate the Ginormous price hike there?

I think I will just go for the second option of 4 x Sonoff in-line relays, since going the actual switchplate route may not work due to the 2 way for main chandelier lighting.... which is a shame as they are pretty smart switches.

Thanks again

their is only one way to
knock a nail in ,get proper spark in.

Ha... mentioned that so folks will know that, being a tradesman and frquently working alongside all trades, i'm pretty confident about simple swap overs, and would easily manage to change to smart switches - with advice from a Spark first of course... hence posting here ;-)
