Discuss Additional CPC in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

daver

Am just about to start a job on 3 story house which will become 8 individual flats.
Am running 16mm T&E from incomer to each DB. I was going to add an additional 10mm CPC to each flat but have had conflicting advise on this.

Some say do, some say no need.

Is there a definative answer.

Cheers

Dave

MP. Just had a look at this and it is as I said in my PM to you. Using SWA, all cores are same size plus you have the armour.
T&E easier to use, but with 16mm you only have a 10mm CPC.
According to table 54.7, Line conductor S =< 16mm should use a cpc of equal size.
So running a 6mm with it brings it up to 16 mm and meet regs.

We found it ourselves

Thanks Guys
