Discuss Advice on cable tray snips.. in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net
The hot works permit for a grinder is a very good point, insurers often ask about such things.
It should do, but sometimes not (and risk not just of fire but leaving pit marks on nearby windows, monitors, etc, if someone is not too careful with where the sparks fly).Generally means cutting outside the building.
If it’s for the light duty tray that’s just a single layer of metal then either Weiss or fat max aviation tin snips will work fine, just get the ones that do straight cuts.Looking for recommendations on snips for cable tray trimming and cutting.
