Please see attached diagram, can someone advise on if this TT connection is correct for an outside solar metal enclosure as shown in the diagram? If not what are your recommendations on how you would do this please?

As above - the armour needs connecting at least the supply end so ADS occurs if someone sticks a spade through it.

Are there any good reasons not to use the perfectly good TN-S earthing for the inverter?

If people are going to do tribal dances in the rain with bare feet while laying sacrifices on the cabinet you could add a local rod as an extra precaution.
