Does anyone know about specific qualifications a British Electrician might need to work in NY state (not city). The work would be mainly in domestic properties for lettings purposes. Cheers!

You've likely sorted this out by now but allow me to give a pat answer. As long as you have the official working papers (as a national from another country) as far as I know you will work under the license of the owner of the shop or other designated qualifier employer by whomever you work for. New York State does not have apprentice, trainee, or journeyman licensing.
