Think it's a bit of a long shot this - but wondering if anybody's came across this situation before. I had a light that buzzed (when turned on). It's a metal light fitting, it sounded like a buzz but also like a metalic sound, as though the actual metal fitting was rattling. Didn't sound safe.
I turned it off at the board, took it down to inspect it, took a video - then put it back as it was. When I'd finished, I turned the board back on and switch the light on - no buzzing. There's no copper showing at the block and I didn't tighten any light bulbs in the meantime, any idea what could cause this other than a bulb?
The only thing changed was that the fitting was unscrewed off and back on, and obviously I pulled the cables down from the ceiling to inspect and put them back up. Could one of the cables have been pressing on the fitting and causing this somehow?
I think I may pull them back down at some point to sleeve the earth you can see, could that have been the cause?
