The point is, if you are competant have the qualifications and are prepared to work abroad then great, however at least try to learn the Bloody language, thats all were saying regarding the OP. I feel nothing but admiration for a foreigner who wants to succeed and work abroad and who learns the language and tries to fit in, nothing but admiration, but those who come here and have no trade or do not care about fitting in and trying to learn or carry out work regarding our trade I say go home and come back when your prepared to fit in and adapt, your skin colour is irrelevent, who cares?

I wonder what proportion of UK sparks working around the world are fluent in the local language?

That said, I doubt anyone's going to get to grips with BS7671 requirements without speaking decent English, so you probably have a reasonably point.

I'm in Germany and can't speak a word of their lingo. In fact I'm on a train and I don't even know if it's going to where I want to go. Should have stayed in London even though I can't speak cockney either lol
