Has anyone come across this one. situation new build bungalow, external timber framed walls are covered with a metallic damp proof membrane, metal boxes attached through DPM to dwangs then walls have been framed and drywalled. the problem is the earth continuity between any circuit that has been installed on the outside walls is short circuit (>0.2ohm), any views or comments

i think he means that the metallic membrane is causing a s/c between the back boxes of different circuits. in that case, should have used dry-wall boxes.

edit: @OP. what are dwangs???

your right telectrix i did mean a short circuit between the back boxes of different circuits, job is now finished and ive just been sent to test it. dwangs are the bits of wood installed to give a fixing for metal boxes. and believe it or not there is plastic conduit drops. what do you suggest, does it comply or not

well, they're all earthed back at the CU, but testing would be a problem. perhaps E54 has some ideas here, as long as it's not TT. LOL.

soz its a tnc-s system although no meters have been fitted yet. I've just been doing the initial verification. From the stories on site this build has been a farce form the start.
