This person requires some work. They've hopefully explained their skills and qualifications and what area they're in. Otherwise, what's the bloody point?

Hey Fellas,
Im an electrical fitter and mechanic plus qualified instrumentation technician in Australia. Im moving over in June next year trying to get a headstart on things. Ive been trying to figure out what I need to do to change my licence to the UK equivalent. Does anyone have anytips on what to do?
Cheers in advance

marry her then. :eek::eek::eek:.

Or save yourself tonnes of cash along with endless ridicule and stay down under in the sun !

If however you are determined to FCUK it all up and head to the sunny UK then stick on here. There is no such thing as a license but you can get cards as such for work in construction. Alternately put up a rough idea of where you are going to land up and what sort of work you be looking for and you could have a chance with the people on here.

Of course the immigration stuff would need sorting before you can work over here.

Quality electrical advice...and now life-style guru...you're wasted on here...:)

I tried not to say this but I have to. You Aussie sparks know fine well that us limey sparks are crap. One of your countrymen told us here on this forum. While most of the time served electricians here think the rest of us aren't electricians. So really you should stand head and shoulders over the whole of the united kingdom as an electrician, probably a collossus (head) among us all. So you have a good head start. Anyway have a chat with NARIC about translating your qualifications to crap english ones that's what you really need to do. Try not to let your high standards get infected with our low skill standards while you are here. It would be interesting if you do work over here to hear what you think in reality regards if the above is true or are we the same/better not much difference if you felt like returning and letting us know.
