Gavin asked what Barker had said this afternoon and rather than put it on the public forum I've moved it to the lounge because he (Barking) was discussing prices from a number of firms.

The discussion was on You and Yours on Radio 4 today - here's the link it's about 15 mins in BBC - Radio 4 You and Yours - 13/06/2012 Barking gets disconnected while answering but they get him back about 32 mins later.

Basically, David Hunt did a piece from Eco Environments saying that commercial was still viable but that domestic was a struggle. He quoted £9k for domestic systems which is useful for everyone selling under that price because it potentially stops in being screwed on price and not being able to cover costs.

After the first bit when Barking denied that the Green Deal providers had stopped working on Green Deal, he then went on to say that what David Hunt had said was a travesty followed by quoting Tesco @ £6,500, CCE under £6k, British Solar Power £6,500 Solar Essence £7,000, no mention whatsoever about different quality of products, roof types, areas, etc , etc. The guy is a complete idiot! Installations 3 times higher!

Apparently CERT & CESP were way too expensive, short term and a scandal and only delivered low hanging fruit - anyone involved in these schemes knows they were cheap and targeted at insulating homes. They did what it said on the tin! Can't even decide on start date Autumn 2012 / Jan 2013 and doesn't mention that £1.3 billion is coming from consumer bills for ECO.

I don't think hes had anywhere near enough **** for his utter mishandling of the feed in tariff scheme. Frankly I think he should be hounded where ever he shows his face.

I think you have to include @greg barker in the tweet, and a good idea to include something like #solar or #cutdontkill or something so others can see and maybe retweet it.

Best to stick to asking awkward questions though I think as actual abuse will probably get you blocked... but if you don't care about that sort of thing, then I reckon it might get read by him before he blocks you, as I think it actually is him doing the tweeting.

As for stalking/following Barker - you need some VPNs using Pre paid credit cards and Proxies - 6 of them - ideally through 3rd world countries and throw away tw4tter accounts. Polly best to hire some Eastern European hackers to do it for you.

The green deal is a game-changer for the energy market | Greg Barker | Environment | guardian.co.uk strangely enough today Barking thinks the previous cert & Cesp schemes concentrating on insulation are far from failure.

"One fact about loft insulation is that the market is shrinking. 99% of lofts have some kind of insulation. By the end of the year about 200,000 – only about 1% - will remain without any insulation; and well over half have the maximum level. So it's inevitable that forecasts show the number of loft insulations will fall: there are fewer of them to do.
The reason for this is far from failure – quite the opposite. The job has largely been done thanks to government subsidy schemes which have to date focused very strongly on lagging our lofts with the result that almost all of us have benefited"

Difficult to know what he thinks - a scandal and not fit for purpose or quite the opposite!
