Hi everyone, this is my first time using a forum so please don’t criticise to much.

I recently done by EESS course but I didn’t actually find it to useful and still have a few questions.

If you install a DC coupled system obviously that inverter will have a max output amperage. So would you do your G98 or G99 application based on that output amperage.

My other question is, if there is an existing solar system and you add in battery storage (AC Coupled system) would you need a separate application based on the output amperage for the battery inverter? (Because it has the potential to export back to the grid from the battery)

i hope these questions are clear enough for everyone to understand.

i will probably have loads of solar and eess questions over the next few months as its something im looking to get into and i am still very new to it.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, when you make application you use inverter output regardless of the storage or array size.

With this scenario I believe you would add together output of all existing and proposed inverters and choose appropriate form (g98 or g99) on which you would list existing and new inverters.
