what is it about them ....gentle as hell tightening them up and the brass nuts rotate in the soft plastic !!! Never ever again . I needed to use 3 of them to replace a damaged Dryline box . Is BG stuff that bad ?

If buying drylining boxes I won't use anything other than Appleby, but never see these supplied on site and just make do with whatever is there. Start from the assumption that boxes are flimsy junk and you'll rarely have any problems.

Appleby no problems with them.

Appleby or Marshall Tufflex. All others are junk. BG is the exception, theirs are complete and utter junk.

I will only use a dry lining box as a last resort or when I retro fit a socket in an existing stud wall

New work I always try to get a wooden nogin in a stud wall and fit a metal box
