A friend of a friend wants a new consumer unit fitted.Its a straight forward change over from an old rewirable to new .I work in the industrial game ,so dont do much on the domestic side,what would the going rate be for labour only.

i'd be looking for at least £100-£150 if your testing the board aswell another £100 on top of that if its for someone you know.

ive got 2 changeovers n full tests tomorrow down in stranraer, 2 hours drive 2 get there aswell as snagging around dumfries gona be a long day
 
LABC fees? can you explain what this means

If your not a scam member ie nic elecsa or napit you have to go through local authority building control a pay their fee to inspect your work. So joining a club is about 450 which is cheaper than informing labc for a few jobs
