Are there any decent combined bootlace crimps & cutters / snips?

this is the one i bought last year. got fed up of trying to read the size of the correct bit of the jaws on the haupa ones with multiple holes

Never seen a combined set but Weidmuller Stripax and a pair of PZ4’s are the panel mans staple.

Can’t say that I’ve seen any combined cutter/crimpers.

Some of our panel builders use these, like @Charlie_ mentioned before

The blade under the jaws at the top of the handle cuts the wires..
I started using them a few years ago for doing all my control panels, saves me lots of time

Ferrules can be used for smaller CSA conductors.

Bootlace ferrules are far superior, especially for tri rated singles

this is probably the best if you only do one conductor size, there are no changeover jaws so you buy a tool for each conductor size you want.
there is a vid on the site that shows it in operation. please note this is £1000 per size of cable.
I do A LOT of panel work and have not been able to justify the cost.

The one I use day in and out is the stripax one listed above.

Can't speak for the machine gun self loading type. These do for most tasks. I have another set that does bigger tails like 16 - 25mm .

mine are almost same as them, but were £14.99 with a kit of 1200 assorted ferrules included. £170+ jeez. that's a week's beer money.

Unfortunately that crimp is non Atex certified being battery powered and useless where I work! Trusty Knipex hasn't let me down yet!!

Though must admit it would be handy when connecting panels in the switch room!

these are at a cost of £1000 per size of cable.
they do if I remember correctly
0.5mm
0.75mm
1.0mm
1.5mm
2.5mm
so if you want a full set then it will cost you about 5K
if you ask nicely they might throw in a couple of packs of ferrules for free.
