Hi all, my name is Pete and I’m new to this site.

Could anyone clarify the following question for me please.

Does BS7671 cover rules on acceptable locations to drill holes in joists in commercial properties. If so could anyone state the page number where I could find this. I’ve been working on a site and the question was raised.

Thank you in advance.

Pete.

basically, it's between 0.25 and 0.4 of the span of the joist. minimum of 2" below/above top or bottom. holes to be separated by 1.5 x the holesize.
