I know a scottish contractor who had to rewire a well known optician in Dublin in 2001. Once it was all don the inspector failed the lot as it was in Uk colours not the now harmonized coulours. He did say apart from that it was fine. He ended up redoing it all.

I bet he was chuffed!

You can't get red and black cable in Ireland, so he must have brought it with him. I bet that went down real well.

Bazza....waiting to hear back for the complete list of what they want. On the site they don't mention looking at test equipment, but no doubt they will need to make sure it complies with their required specs.

They record the serial numbers. TBH, uinless you are going to be doing a few houses its not worth the cost.

At the risk of sounding mean and nasty, good enough for him. To come over here taking work is one thing, to come and not buy any materials is worse but to come and not even bone up on the local regs is unforgiveable.
