Folks
What is the general consensus on the routing of cables for general purpose sockets etc, when the entire ground floor is going to be retrofitted with under floor heating
Do you keep out of the floor entirely, leave the space for the plumber and take the long route round
Or do you install in conduit and let them cut the insulation around?

There's no reg to say where they must come from.
Just feed them from wherever is practical, providing the cabling is in the recognised zones for walls, etc.

Recently routed my cooker hob and socket feeds to island kitchen unit through section of flexible conduit cut into a groove and covered by floor cellotex. UF water pipes clipped above and screened over. So long as zones and cable calcs check out can’t see a problem.

I think there have been a previous threads on ducting / conduit methods for cables in floor screed. Presumably your existing ground floor RFC is under the floor boards you’re replacing?
