Hi anyone got any advice on the best cable tracer
Currently we have a fluke tracer but it seems to pick up everything apart from the cable we are looking for
I have looked at Chauvin CA 6681 from RS but wanted to see if anyone has had a good experience with something similar

I believe the MASTECH MS6818 is identical and about 1/2 the price.
For underground cables I've found the Mastech works pretty well as long as you use the earth stake. I even managed to trace an unmetered cottage supply to the middle of a road with one once.
I haven't used it as much inside.
 
I bought a DiLog tracer years ago and it’s paid for itself a hundred times over now. The exact model will I’m sure have been superseded several times by now so have a search.
