Hi, we need to joint several 95mm² 4 core SWA cables, the joints kit are Prysmian JST Low Voltage Universal Cable Joints and are supplied with everything excluding the connector. Our previous jointer used a red coloured putty, supplied in a bag of approximately 5kgs, to seal the ends of the joints in addition to the self amalgamating tape supplied in the kits.

Does anyone know the name of the putty that is used for this application, the only putty's that I can find online are sold in 100g to 500g bags?

All help will be appreciated.

You can use anything that stops the resin getting out, I doubt there's any specific product out there for the job.

I've used r391 compound or chewing gum in the past.

We use filoform filoseal, its red and like putty, might be that?

Edit- just read its bags of 5kg, probably something different.
