Agree mate but I didn’t mention any damage “ around the pins “ ! It’s not overload , just excessive heat , fat etc !

Sorry for misinterpreting....just with the scorching and cracking.....I presumed.

Replace with commando sockets and plugs.

Could give a bit more wearability but again you're looking at environmental factors, rather than fittings.

Relocate sockets higher up the wall, if each socket is vertical drop then you're just shortening the cable/containment, then I'd replace appliance flex with a tougher rated cable; TRS or Artic, depending on which had the best properties for the job; this would improve the flex survivability potentially
