Can you please recommend a good 6 way consumer unit for a one bed house.

Depends on your budget really, however, Hager, Contactum, Wyles are good.

You may be better off installing a 5+5 dual rcd split load cu and spread the circuits over both side to comply with the latest regs.

Have you got 6 ways being used at the moment if so you should really put a consumer unit with some extra spare ways to enable new circuits to be installed in the future without the need for another CU change.

We use Wylex units, seem to be ok.
