Some ovens look physically quite large but don't use much power. If it says 7.5kW then it needs to be bigger than 2.5mm cable

Cooker can be connected utilising a 3phase supply and removing the bridge at the connections on the cooker which in turn a smaller csa of cable could be used hence the minimum of 2.5mm which you mention. As you probably don't have a 3 Phase supply then ideally a 6-10mm cable should of been installed for the cooker back to the consumer unit.

I personally would not allow the idiot to come and attempt to rectify it. A nominated registered electrician selected by him yes, but the original person that put that cooker on to the ring circuit, no way.

You need a separate cooker circuit installed which is notifiable and you should be getting a installation cert and compliance cert.

A big question is whether this cooker was always going to be the one installed, as this will effect whether you have any recourse to the company. If they quoted based on this cooker being installed the work should have entailed a new circuit and upgrading to bonding as necessary.

totally unacceptable. any appliance > 2.2kW should be on it's own circuit, not the socket circuit. a dedicated 32A circuit wired in 6mm is required.

It is talking about the total connected load. Can the grill be energised at the same time as the double oven, for example? £100 says it can't be (after all the grill will be housed in one of the ovens).

The load will also cycle a lot as temperature is reached.

So we don't know the real load.

We have a Range master and yes we can use all the elements at the same time as the grill is separate from the ovens !

nope. e.g. immersion heater - any appliance.
