I have to do an install using trunking which I have nebr used before, I understand there had to be 45% free space inside for heat travel.
so what size trunking do I need to fit two 2.5 t&e cables inside?

As I said I have never used trunking before so it is new to me.

OSG page 137

Each 1.5 = 8.0 cable factor
Each 2.5 = 11.9 cable factor
So

So (11.9x4) + (8.0x2) = 63.6 cable factor

Smallest trunking in OSG is 50x38 which has a factor of 767, 45% taken into account.

I'm sure a lot of the guys will say MT2 would be fine.......maybe.

Make sure your playing halo tonight ;)

I would also use YT2 for those cables.
Couple of tips for installing trunking. Whether you use sticky back or non sticky, make sure you plug and screw as sticky will eventually peel off. Use proper joint pieces ( tees, flat bends, internal corners etc ) as mitred corners can look afwul on small trunking.

~Hey guys thanks for the info I did the job, used mt2 trunking ( also used a chart to get it right Untitled ) with proper joint pieces, and the job looked proper smart and went very well, thanks guys for your help. :)

To ask this sort of question you must be a ...........lorry driver or butcher or scaffolder or a dentist or ......... please don't tell me you are an electrician, how can you even think of doing electrical installations for a living when you have to get on "the internet" to ask this GOD HELP US ALL..........
