Just after a general idea on what tools are needed to work on data and bt phone cables for sky etc. Just want to try it in my home e.g shortening cables for neatness behind the tv mainly. any tips guys?

if you have an android phone, electrodroid app, shows pin out diagrams for RJ45 (ethernet) connectors amongst a wealth of other useful electrical calculators and references
