Quick news flash, if you aint working at present and you have some free time on your ?hands Watch "Sky Arts" all about the Cavern club, Liverpool isn't it? you will enjoy I'm sure being the same age as me you may even see yourself when you were young, if you're memory is still working.

Wooden leg?
Trust me, if I answered that fully, I would be banned!
However, while I discovered her non-blonde status, she asked " Is that a peg-leg, Pirate?"
I said yes, i have one, but that's not it!
Yew wooden't be-leaf it, but she said oak-y, and rose to the oak-asion, so we went to the beech fir some ash-letics and while trying to palm me off with some lime juice, I was branching off into tree-mendous foliage, reminiscent of Cypress, and now only hazel-y remember the pear before me, before I rode a dendron...

Ok, gone off topic...but don't forget the hazel nut in every bite!

I'll get my coat...

There was a post about this on the old forum a while back.
If you work out the price of the individual tools, you're left with a very expensive tool box (several hundred pounds IIRC)
The other downside is, being a rigid box, there's little room for additional tools. Also most sparks tend to prefer a mix & match (e.g. prefer Wiha drivers but Knipex snips, etc).

Several hundred? I bet some of the chronic tool tarts on here will be thinking it's a bit more than that

I thought the same , collected good quality tools over last 10-15 years and wondered how much it would cost to replace as new, ie if they were stolen

Was a bit surprised to find it was around £1300 and I've added stuff since then !
It's not a large bag ( veto mc and meter bag) and I do have a couple of more specialised tools like crimpers which bumps it up a little...

Ah yes misread it sorry, wasn't having a dig I was just thinking about tool addicts and how much they spend on the next new shiny thing!
But even so when you look at just basic tools you already have and use everyday it can add up to a considerable amount
