Anybody know of anywhere that sells the trigger for a makita drill? Asked at wholesalers + had a scout on makita website / various websites with no joy. Im guessing you can't get a replacement....

The drill in question Makita 8406 240V Diamond Core / Hammer drill. (apologies in advance to all you 110v power drill guys lol)

If anyone who's had similar problems could point me in a direction, i would be very greatful. Don't really fancy splashing out on a new one, but if i have too, i will.

Makita boast that they can supply any part for every power tool they have ever made!

First of all you need to be certain which model you have, 8406 or 8406C, as they are substantially different in construction.

Are you positive it's the trigger? I'v been caught more than once in thinking it was the contact, when it was actually the cord had broken internally where it enters the drill?
