If you're a qualified, trainee, or retired electrician - Which country is it that your work will be / is / was aimed at?
United Kingdom
What type of forum member are you?
Practising Electrician (Qualified - Domestic or Commercial etc)
A house with a new electrical installation must have an EIC. I am requested for an EICR and I can't find any records about it (I suspect the construction is max 2 years old) - how do you proceed?

What do you wish to proceed with, finding the EIC or having an EICR?

Is it correct to continue with the EICR if the EIC was not issued the first time?

EIC can only be issued at the time of installation. After the installation has been in use, only an EICR can be issued after appropriate inspection and testing.
