Hi Guys

Thinking of opening up a Stand n Tan shop just outside newcastle(NE). Been and looked at the premises and its got a 40A meter installed. How much to get this changed to a bigger meter and which channels do I go through for it.

Thanks, Mark

contact your energy provider as they will be the ones able to look at uprating the main cut-out and prices will vary from supplier to supplier

I have not took the shop yet and do not know who supplies the electric for the premises was just wanting a idea of around how much.

Couldn't tell you. I guess it depends on the incoming supply and how big the incoming cables are as to what size main fuse they can provide.

Can get sunbeds in both single phase and 3 phase. Single phase you are looking at around 48 tubes at 160W each which will then need a 8KW spur from DB. This gives around 35A on start up. Limits me to one unit at moment
