I am thinking of buying an box sinker (fits into a SDS drill) but i am not sure what they are like of if they are any good. Does anyone know.

Cheers
:D

They are ok on thermalite / breeze block or soft brick, they will do concrete blocks just take a tad longer, as for hard/engineer bricks forget it & stick to the bolster & scutch.
They also create alot of dust so I only use mine on newbuilds or extensions.

Mmmm, not so sure about these. The ones I have used have tended to break long before they have paid for themselves. Saying that though, I guess they would be usefull on new builds where thermalites have been used. (Carefull you don't find yourself in the cavity by accid.) But on thermalites you may as well just use your finger nails.:D

i have box sinkers. they can save you time. A bolster and lump-hammer do the trick nicely. A bolster without the shield soon makes a man of you. :)
