First of all congrats, the easiest job in the world is snagging others work. That said the pressure could be immense if you get it wrong, be yourself and enthusiastic and also prove you are understanding of the demands on companies and want to help them improve rather than just slate their work and you may be fine.

I cant help with interview techniques (ime pretty pants myself)
But I wish you good luck :)

Only thing I can say is be positive and confident and most importantly look smart.

The amount of people I have seen show up for interviews lately in jeans and shirts beggars belief!!

The technical aspects will be no different to any other job interview, however, having done domestic inspection with a local authority
At the interview they slung quite a few questions about dealing with tenants, how would you react to moans and complaints about the council, what actions you would take with an awkward tenant, those type of subjects

They seemed very interested in that aspect
Give some responses you think they want to hear and all should be well
