Electrical plans mark up: On site & In the office

Hi Guys

Couple of questions see what others do maybe

Been using pen/ paper for yonks when dealing with re-drawing plans, everything else I seem to be digital and want to go this way if poss.

Question 1 (in the office).... is there any 'electrical themed software' thats easy to use that I can mark up my own floor plans with ? (and I'm on Mac)

Question 2 (on site) ... when on site getting fed up with trying to mark all my plans up (whilst doing walk around with Client agreeing locations ) on the fly. Is there an iPad or something similar where could say have my floor plan loaded up and then mark on there as go around. Seen some lately that have a pen you can use ?

Be great if there was something where both of above where in sync with each other.

Hope that all makes sense I'm not sounded like too much of an old man yet

Have a look at Visio. See if that would be good for you.

 

[Rockingit]

AutoCAD LT may also be an option for this (what I use). It’s a lot easier to master than many believe and Autodesk now also sell licences for it in a more flexible and cheaper fashion too.
